Wünder Quark is a fresh take on dairy that’s deliciously non-tart, thick, creamy, and naturally packed with protein. Our quark is crafted in Upstate New York using only simple ingredients like grass-fed milk and absolutely no Stevia, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, or synthetic growth hormones.
Quark is a cultured dairy beloved in Europe for its non-tart taste, thick texture, and high protein content — it’s like Greek yogurt, but better!
When did Wünder Quark Start?
We launched in July 2015 to give consumers a new deliciously tart-free, super creamy option in the dairy aisle.
Is Wünder Quark Different Than Yogurt?
It’s all about culture! We use a special strain of dairy cultures to craft each and every cup of Wünder Quark. It’s these special quark cultures that give Wünder its hallmark deliciously creamy, non-tart taste.
Is Wünder Quark Different Than Greek or Icelandic yogurt?
While quark is certainly similar to both Greek yogurt and Icelandic yogurt (aka skyr), we use a different blend of dairy cultures (specifically, we use cheese and buttermilk cultures from France). We also strain our quark for thirteen hours, which is much longer than most other types of yogurt.
How Is Wünder Quark So tasty and Tart Free?
Wünder quark has no tart yogurt taste because we use a special blend of dairy cultures and a gentle heating process during production.
Why Does Wünder Quark Taste Different Than Other Quarks I’ve Tried?
Wünder is one-of-a-kind. Unlike some other quarks you may have tried, Wünder is super smooth and creamy and crafted with simple ingredients and no artificial sweeteners, Stevia, or preservatives.
How Do You Make Wünder?
Each batch of Wünder Quark is crafted in Upstate New York for over 13 hours, using a special blend of dairy cultures and grass-fed milk that we source from family farms who do not use any kind of growth hormones such as rBST. We then remove the excess liquid whey from Wünder Quark by straining it to create a deliciously thick and creamy texture.
How Do You Pack So Much Protein Into Wünder?
Similar to Greek Yogurt, we strain Wünder Quark, which gives it a crazy thick and creamy texture and a naturally high protein content so it’s an awesome perfect pre- or post-workout recovery fuel.
Is Wünder Organic?
We only work with farms that do not use any kind of growth hormones such as rBST. Wünder Quark isn’t organic but we use only simple, thoughtfully sourced ingredients like grass-fed milk and absolutely no preservatives, Stevia, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, or synthetic growth hormones.
Does Wünder Contain GMOs?
Wünder isn’t certified GMO-Free but is thoughtfully crafted using only simple ingredients and absolutely no artificial sweeteners, Stevia, preservatives, or growth hormones.
What is RBST?
Here at Wünder, we only work with farms who do not treat their cows with rBST. (According to the FDA, no significant difference has been shown, and no test can now distinguish, between milk from rBST treated cows and untreated cows.)
Does Wünder Contain Any Artificial Sweeteners?
No way! Our products are also free of Stevia.
Does Wünder Contain Added Sweeteners?
Our Original Wünder flavor contains no added sugar but only our special blend of cultures and grass-fed milk. Our flavored varieties are crafted with only simple, clean ingredients like real fruit, vanilla, and gently sweetened with cane sugar.
Where Does The 5g of Sugar In Your Original Flavor Come From?
The sugars in our Original flavor are naturally occurring from the milk (lactose). In our flavored varieties, in addition to lactose, they also contain naturally occurring sugar in the form of real fruit (fructose), cane sugar, or 100% pure maple syrup.
I’m Lactose Intolerant. Can I Eat Wünder?
Sensitivity to lactose varies by person, and kids and adults who experience discomfort from lactose may be able to eat Wünder Quark without negative effects due to our straining process, which removes about 95% of the lactose from our products. However, it’s best to consult your physician before making major changes to your diet.
Is Wünder Gluten Free?
All Wünder Quark varieties are naturally gluten-free and are certified by the GFCO (Gluten-Free Certification Organization). This means they contain no wheat, rye, barley or other gluten-containing ingredients.
How Much Calcium Is In Wünder?
Wünder Quark contains 20% of the DV (Daily Value) for calcium.
Where Can I Find The Expiration Date On My Cup Of Wünder?
The expiration date is located on the bottom of your Wünder cup.
Is Wünder Vegetarian-Friendly?
Yes! Wünder is free of gelatin and other animal-based thickeners. Wünder is a great source of protein for vegetarian diets.
Is Wünder Kosher?
Yes, Wünder is Kosher Dairy Certified by the Orthodox Union (OU).
After Purchasing Wünder, How Long Will It Last Until Expiring?
Proper food safety is a must. If properly refrigerated, Wünder will last until the date listed on each individual cup. Once open, we recommend enjoying your cup of Wünder within a few hours.
